As some of you may know, we acquired a household goods company about a year and a half ago. Among the many things we received with the purchase was a small warehouse full of bolts of cotton quilting and sewing fabrics.

It had always been our intent to do something with those hundreds of bolts, but one thing led to another (as it often does), and the fabric ended up sitting quietly in its packaging all but forgotten.

Then a couple of weeks ago we were doing our quarterly inventory and Ann, our customer service rep, commented “hey there’s a lot of fabric here. What are we going to do with it all?”

Sell it of course! So today we’re pleased to announce that we’ve added a new fabrics-by-the-yard section our offerings.

All of these fabrics are premium quality, beautiful cotton textiles perfect for quilting, sewing, and fabric crafts. Many of them were originally $9 to $10 per yard, but because many are now no longer produced by the manufacturers, we’ve decided to discount them down to just $2.49 per yard (that’s less than wholesale cost even back in 2004!).

Of course, most of these fabrics are pretty rare, so supplies are limited and we won’t be taking backorders or rainchecks. But with only a 1/2 yard minimum cut, and prices as low as they are, you’re sure to pick up a lot of really great deals on some gorgeous fabrics for pretty much next to nothing!

You do have to hurry for best selection because once a fabric is gone, it’s gone for good!
